Standalone Definition: These keypads do not function as standalone units — ActiveMetal keypads transmit the users Personal Identification Number (PIN) to an access control system via a Wiegand or serial interface or as a matrix output. The access control system, not the keypad, validates the user PIN and determines the appropriate action to take in response to the entry.
Additional Info: Number of Keys — 12-keys, 3 across by 4 down,
12-keys, 2 across by 6 down
or 16-keys, 4 across by 4 down Box Mount — Mounts using 2 screws to a standard single
gang electrical box. Panel Mount — Mounts using 4 screws to a flat surface or can
be under-panel mounted for a flush low profile
look. (Under-panel mounting requires separate
gasket, not included). Mullion Mount — Mounts using 2 screws to the vertical member of a door or window frame. Matrix Output — Standard row and column switch outputs,
plus an auxiliary output and two customer
controlled LED inputs. Serial Output — 3-wire connection for RS-232 serial protocol,
plus an auxiliary output and two customer
controlled LED inputs. Wiegand Output — 4-wire connection for standard Wiegand
protocol, plus an auxiliary output and two
customer controlled LED inputs. Legends — 6 options available: ascending numbers (telephone),
descending numbers (calculator), with or without
lettering, and positive or negative images. Material — Aluminum with Light Gray powder coat finish
or Aluminum with either Clear, Black or Blue anodized finish

Additional Info: INPUT / OUTPUT: • 5VDC Input / Digital Output—5VDC Input (red wire) and Digital Output (green wire) is output either at 5V or 0V level relative to input voltage supply’s ground (black wire). • 5VDC Input / Open Collector Output—5VDC Input (red wire) and Open Collector Output (green wire) is output that is open or closed relative to input voltage supply’s ground (black wire). • 10 – 24VDC Input / Open Collector Output—Will work with any input operating voltage between 10 – 24VDC (red
wire) and Open Collector Output (green wire) is output that is open or closed relative to input voltage supply’s ground (black wire). SWITCH STATUS: • Normally Open—An unactivated condition, output is open relative to input voltage supply’s ground (sinking output). • Normally Closed—An unactivated condition, output is closed relative to input voltage supply’s ground (sinking output). • Normally High, 5V—An unactivated condition, output at 5V level relative to input voltage supply’s ground. • Normally Low, 0V—An unactivated condition, output at 0V level relative to input voltage supply’s ground. COLOR:
All ActiveMetal switches are available in stainless steel to give you the utmost in durability no matter what the application or working environment. 19mm, 22mm and 30 mm switches are available in anodized aluminum versions and are offered in Clear, Black, Red and Green colors. The 22 mm switch is also available in a PPS Plastic version, this switch is only available in Black at this time. We also offer a new Diecast Zinc Alloy versions which are available in Satin, Bright and Black Chrome finishes. SWITCH ACTION: • Momentary Action—Output reverts to its previous status as the switch goes into the unactivated condition. • Alternate Action—Output changes to its opposite status and latches as a result of the switch activation. SWITCH SENSITIVITY: • Level 2—Designed for indoor / outdoor use with or without a gloved hand; impervious to false activations caused by water.
